I don’t know about you, but one of my pet peeves is being hungry during a snowmobile ride. I usually ride prepared with snacks, but stopping at different eateries is one of my favorite parts about the adventure. I’m not a very good hungry snowmobiler.
Luckily enough, the Adirondacks is packed with delicious spots to pull up on your sled, take a break, and enjoy a great meal. The next time you are traveling through on your ride, check out a couple of these hot spots!
Adirondack Hotel - Long Lake
Pull into the Adirondack Hotel which is conveniently located for snowmobile access. Stop here for lunch or dinner and enjoy two dining options. If you are looking for casual dining, enjoy Lake Street Cafe located inside the Adirondack Hotel, offering lunch and dinner daily. If you are looking for something a bit more up scale, check out The Victorian Room which boasts original tin ceilings, fireplaces, and Victorian furnishings.
While you're traveling through Long Lake, don’t miss a chance to stop at the Long Lake Diner. This is the spot to have breakfast before you begin your ride. The diner has a reputation of being the best breakfast in Long Lake! You will be fueled up and ready to enjoy a day on the trails.
Red Dog Tavern - Eagle Bay
The Red Dog Tavern is a place where locals meet, the soup is homemade, the bartender remembers you, and you’re bound to have a good time. They are best known for their mouth watering BBQ ribs and pulled pork. With something on the menu for everyone, even kids, the family is bound to enjoy The Red Dog Tavern. Pull up here to warm up after a chilly day on the trails.
Indian Lake Restaurant & Tavern - Indian Lake
Being located at the intersection of Route 28 and Route 30 provides great snowmobile access to the Indian Lake Restaurant. They pride themselves on cold drinks and good eats! And what else do you need? The Indian Lake Restaurant is a happening place for snowmobilers, being the region’s only full service tavern. Check out their local beer selection when you stop by.
While in Indian Lake don’t pass by The Bear Trap. The local pub and grill offers great food at great prices. If you are ready to stop for the night, head across the street and grab a room at the Adirondack Trail Motel.
Logan’s Bar & Grill - Speculator
Named after the owner/chef’s son Logan, the bar & grill offers food, fun, games, music, and drink specials. This causal atmosphere is decorated by eclectic finds including a mix of t-shirts and lots of pictures of Logan!
When you're traveling through Speculator, stop by the Acorn Pub & Eatery in the base lodge at Oak Mountain to enjoy a delicious meal. Chef Lou offers many dinner specials throughout the year, and none will leave you disappointed.
The Ole Barn - Inlet
Come in from the trails and warm up in front of the fire place. This is a popular snowmobile stop because it offers great entertainment, drinks, lunches, and dinners. The Ole Barn is a rustic, relaxing experience you don't want to miss out on.
Screamen Eagle is also a popular stopping place in Inlet. With specialty pizzas and 50 beers on tap, what’s not to love about this place? They have the largest beer selection in the Adirondacks. It’s worth a stop when you're riding through Inlet this winter.
While we couldn’t hit all of the snowmobile dining hot spots, we encourage you to try some out on your rides this season. Plan a snowmobile vacation, map out your route, find places to stay overnight, and enjoy the delicious offerings the Adirondacks has.
