Speculator's Route 66

As you drive south down NYS Route 30 toward the Town of Wells, you will pass the Speculator Community Beach on your right, and a large park with a playground and pavilion on your left. Behind the playground, in the far corner of the park, is where the hidden treasure 7-building community of Route 66 has found its ground. 

Route 66 is made up of a general store, service station, church, school house, post office, ice cream parlor, and a barbershop. This is a great place to pull over and let the kids run and explore history. The buildings are usually locked, but open to explore for special occasions. The miniaturized village's buildings are all decorated with classic Americana that will bring back plenty of memories.
