Hence the name, the shore of this pond is grassy. But if you can find a good spot, this is a great bullhead spot.
Getting there
From the intersection of Route 28 and Route 30 in Blue Mountain Lake, follow Route 28 toward Raquette Lake and continue for 2.5 miles to the state trailhead on the left.
Fishing
To fish this pond, follow the 0.5 mile foot trail to the western shore. Paths around the shore access different locations along the shore.
Boat access is not exceptional, but a small boat could be launched if you are determined.
Grassy Pond is a very popular bullhead pond.
Special regulations: always follow state fishing regulations and be sure to pick up a NYS Freshwater Fishing Guide at your local outfitters or regional DEC office.
