The Incredible Edibles

The Incredible Edibles

The Incredible Edibles

Come spend the day learning to find and identify those tiny, flowerless bits of green that come with the opening weeks of spring.

Saturday, May 17, from 1 - 4 pm

This workshop will focus on common and easily identifiable edible plants, many of which are no doubt growing in your own yard or local park.

  • Discover the world of chickweed, the wonders of violets, how to eat knotweed, and just how delicious a dandelion can be.
  • Propagating your own gourmet salad greens is a snap. You’ll plant a pot with a nice mix of lettuces that will grow into a bounty of salads and pansies – about three months’ worth.
  • You will also learn how the liver works, and the herbs used to keep it healthy. Helpful if you suffer from acne, constipation, digestive upsets, hormone imbalances, fibromalgia, allergies, arthritis (and the list goes on and on).

There will be snacks made from herbs.

  • A Lemon Balm Pound Cake
  • Roasted Dandelion
  • Chickweed coffee

Workshop tuition is $35 which includes: instruction, resources, medicine-making materials, and lunch.

Participants will go home with a beautiful container of lettuce and pansies. Recipes and instructions.

Please Note: All workshops are inclusive of all materials supplied. No further costs are involved. Students take home full-size products produced in each workshop
