For more than three decades, Joe Hackett has worked as professional Adirondack guide, providing angling adventures for a loyal following of anglers with an appetite for wild trout and the wild, remote places where they can be found. As an accomplished outdoor writer, his stories can be found in a variety of national and regional sporting publications, including a syndicated series of outdoor columns published by the Adirondack Publishing Company and the Sun Newspaper Group.
A founder and life member of the New York State Outdoor Guides Association, Hackett continues to work and play in the wilderness, often in the company of his wife and two daughters.
